Merry CHRISTmas from your friends at CORNERSTONE--

 We rejoice in this season of celebrating the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

We rejoice because our companies have stabilized after a long struggle through a depressed economy.  As an extra bonus, we have enjoyed some unusual and challenging projects – surveying for the new Cooper River Bridge, researching the origins of the NC/SC state line, surveying in tunnels, and more!

 We rejoice because we, as well as our companies and employees, have had opportunities during the year to advance the gospel of Christ and contribute towards the two things that are eternal – people and God’s Word (the Bible).  That’s why one of our personal passions is working nationally and internationally with AWANA Clubs.  Through AWANA, people memorize and understand God’s Word, generations come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and are trained to serve Him.  It’s very rewarding to see these goals achieved simultaneously and know that optimal results are being realized from our investment of time, talents, and finances.

 We rejoice because of the joy Scott brings to our days – he is like “bottled sunshine.”  He turns 3 in a few days and has had a great year.  He’s learned to talk clearly and fluently and is quite creative.  When he is sick he insists that his sitter “No call Mommie, call Dr. West, I sick!”  He was very happy recently when his new ear tubes got rid of the “bugs in his ears.”  His passions are puppets, musical instruments and clowns.  Running a close second to his toy saxophone is the oil funnel he calls a tuba.  Often times the stresses of life take their toll, but after a short time with Scott, our spirits are refreshed by his merry heart and enthusiasm. 

 We rejoice in the hope of spending eternity with you.  We live just a short time on earth, but will live forever in eternity.  While life on earth offers many choices, eternity offers only two:  heaven or hell.  Our relationship to God on earth determines our relationship to Him in eternity.  If we receive God’s gift of eternal life through His son, Jesus, we will have the pleasure of spending the rest of eternity with Him in heaven.  If we reject His love, forgiveness and salvation, we will spend eternity in hell, apart from God forever.  This life is just a preparation for eternity, and death is not the end, but the transition.  We pray you will experience a true CHRISTmas – forgiveness of sins, joy beyond measure, and life eternal through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
